The music, the color and, above all, the joy of the Rojaleros and Rojaleras is revealed to celebrate the most significant dates in the municipality's calendar: the patron saint and Moors and Christians festivities in honor of San Pedro Apóstol, on the 29th. June, -which is the most important day of all the festivities-. Although, the truth is that the celebrations have been going on since June 11 and will last until July 3.
This festivity begins with sports and cultural activities in which the whole town participates and culminates with majestic parades of Moors and Christians. The fun continues until late at night with lively dances in the kábilas, gunpowder battles and brass bands.
Among the most notable acts, Saturday 18 stands out, the Offering of Flowers to the patron saint; the Charanga on June 25; the Procession in honor of San Pedro Apóstol, with the subsequent firing of the fireworks, on June 29; the Battle of Gunpowder, Pregón and Toma del Castillo on the Malecón del Soto, on June 30; and of course, the Moors and Christians parades on the weekend of July 2 and 3.
